Surrealism is set to take center stage at the Artcy 2026 International Art Conference and Exhibition at the Amara Hotel in Limassol, Cyprus. This year’s program, on the 14th and 15th of March 2026, offers a rare opportunity to engage with the physical manifestations of Salvador Dalí’s dreams through an exclusive exhibition and a dedicated masterclass.
The Exhibition: Masterpieces from the Dalí Universe
The highlight of the 2026 event is a curated selection of authentic artworks from the Dalí Universe collection exhibited by their representative Massimo Martina. Founded by Beniamino Levi, a renowned Italian art dealer, collector and editor who worked closely with Dalí starting in the 1960s, the Dalí Universe manages one of the most significant private collections of the artist’s work in the world, with a specific focus on the master’s three-dimensional expressions.
The collection’s history is rooted in a personal connection; after seeing early sculptural models in Dalí’s studio, Levi encouraged the artist to focus more on three-dimensional forms to bring his iconic surrealist imagery to life. Over the last few decades, these works have toured over 100 prestigious museums and exhibition venues globally, from London to Paris, Shanghai, New York and Venice, reaching more than 12 million visitors.
This year’s display at Art.CY features several iconic bronze sculptures that highlight Dalí’s obsession with time and fantasy:
Horse Saddled with Time: The exhibition’s centerpiece, this multiple sculpture is part of a now sold-out edition. It features a running horse burdened by a soft watch, symbolizing the weight, speed and fluidity of time.
Alice in Wonderland: An amazing and sweet example of Dalí’s “dreams & fantasy” theme, reimagining the classic character with surrealist symbols of eternal youth and lightheartedness.
Profile of Time: An iconic work, heavily inspired by the painting “the Persistence of Memory” where time is represented as a tired soft watch melting over a tree branch, taking on the shape of a human (Dalinian?) profile.
Flora Dalinae Prints: A selection of limited edition graphic works that blend botanical precision and scientific rigor with Dalinian eccentricity.
Every piece in the exhibition is an authentic Salvador Dalí work from the Dalí Universe collection, ensuring that attendees are viewing high-quality, authorized casts and prints that represent the master’s true vision.
The Masterclass: Dalí, Surrealism, and Sculpture
Following the exhibition, attendees can participate in a specialized masterclass led by Massimo Martina. Having spent over 14 years leading the Dalí Universe alongside Beniamino Levi, Martina brings unparalleled insight into the technical and philosophical aspects of Dalí’s sculptural work.
The masterclass will focus on Salvador Dalí, Surrealism, and Sculpture, exploring how the artist transitioned his “paranoiac-critical” method into bronze. This session will present a few of the most important icons of Salvador Dali’s art and will try to explain their meanings.
